What is ipill?

ipill is an emergency contraceptive pill that comes as a quick solution for women to avoid conception or unwanted pregnancy right after unprotected sex. Taking ipill after sex eliminates the chances of women getting conceived.

How does ipill work?

Levonorgestrel, a synthetic progesterone hormone is the primary ingredient of the most emergency contraceptive pills. It also constitutes the main component in ipill. The hormone prevents the release of the egg from the ovary if taken during the earlier stage of the menstrual cycle. Also, it prevents the embryo from implanting by creating an unsuitable environment in the womb. The pill is available as a single tablet or two tablets.

The emergency contraceptive tablet, iPill must be taken immediately after unprotected intercourse. It is said that the sooner the better! The ipill is intended for women aged between 25 to 45 years. Ipill works best when it is consumed within 24 hours of unprotected intercourse. If it is after 72 hours, then there are fewer chances of preventing unwanted pregnancy. Also, one must be well aware of the i pill side effects and must be used with utmost cognizance.
