What are Google Chrome Web apps?

For those unaware, Chrome Web apps are basically web- based apps that are available for use on the Google Chrome store. They offer the native functionality of the app without the need to download the app for full functionality. After installing the app, it opens in a separate window and makes you feel as if you are operating in its own app.
