Qualcomm launches three new processors in the 400 and 600 series processing lines. They are Snapdragon 429, 439 and 632, especially for mid-range phones. These processors are faster and more efficient compared to the currently used entry-level options. The Snapdragon 429 and 439 are supposed to be the successors to the existing 425 and 430 chips. They are 25% faster and more efficient than predecessors. The 429 processor supports pixel resolution up to 720p and single 16-MP cameras or dual 8Mp cameras. On the other hand, Snapdragon 439 supports a camera up to 21 megapixel or dual 8-megapixel alternative.
These chips have nothing to do with the consumers but they offer multiple options to the phone manufacturers. The manufacturers can make different models with varying features and increasing capabilities. The third and the final variant Snapdragon 632 is expected to be 40 per cent faster than its predecessor Snapdragon 626. The 632 chip supports the display resolution of 1080p, cameras up to 24-megapixels or dual 13-megapixel alignment. Furthermore, the 632 processor also supports 4K video capture and LTE modem for faster speeds.

Also, Qualcomm made sure that the new 400 series chips are software and pin compatible. So, the new manufacturers do not need to worry and can just swap the old processors with the new ones. The 600 series chips have been employed as high-end in many countries. While in the U.S the 400 and 600 series lines are employed mainly in the low and mid-range phones. The 800 series is expensive and are employed in high-end phones. The phones sporting these new processors are expected to start rolling out in the second half of this year.
